Hello there!
My name is Jill Michel, I am a New Mexico Photographer.
I’ve been married to my husband Doug for twelve years. We are blessed parents to eight children, and a few box turtles. Our family enjoys spending time at little league baseball, soccer games, at church, Awana Bible Club, and with various homeschool groups around the state.
I first picked up photography in 2009 after becoming a foster parent. I suddenly realized all the precious moments that were zipping by and only seen by me. I bought a camera immediately (over-drafting my account in the process) and began documenting every moment of my children’s lives.
The new camera started paying off years later when I figured out what all the settings did, and was asked to photograph a family shoot… and then a wedding… and then a maternity shoot. The more photos I took, the more I realized my love for photography. This led to a passion to learn everything I could about photography, insure my account always has sufficient funds and use my skills to make sure you don’t miss any big moments in life.

Tuesday is my favorite day of the week.
I wish Taco Tuesday was a time of day, not a day of the week.
Each of the children I’ve given birth to were born on a Tuesday.
All eight of our kids were born in a pattern AM, PM, AM, PM, AM, PM, AM, PM.
I love to budget finances. My husband hates it. He doesn’t even like to check out at Costco. (but he does take the classes with me)
I love to watch True Crime Tv shows while I sort laundry (notice I didn’t say fold laundry, I don’t fold laundry).
I make up limericks for pretty much every kid that stays at my house. I even have a potty training song.
I love every season of the year… They each have a refreshing quality. (But I don’t love being cold).
I’m much better at taking photos than making a website.
