2020 - Life During the COVID-19 Quarantine

It was soo hard not to run up and hug my friends or shake the hands of the lovely new families I as meeting on this day. I wanted so badly to scoop up the babies that I’ve loved most of their lives and give them a giant hug. I took these photos about a month into the Covid - 19 outbreak quarantine of 2020, which changed a lot of things for everyone. One of the biggest changes was how we interact and connect with each other in person. The guidelines passed down by the Governor of New Mexico at the time was to maintain a distance of 6ft from anyone not living in your home and we all complied.

When I first saw this project online, I didn’t really think anything about it. But as I started to get multiple requests, I realized there is a natural human desire to connect with people and to make memories of every situation, even the tough ones. As I look back on these photos, I see beautiful families doing the best they can to find the silver lining in a difficult situation. I hope you all enjoy these photos and cherish them for years to come.
