She Threw Off Our Groove, But She Did It With Style and Grace
When we decided to have another baby, it was kinda on the assumption that it would be a boy to even things up. Plus, God likes order so he will definitely agree that a fourth boy will fit better than a fifth daughter....who would be 8 years younger than her closest sister, right? I guess I should have also remembered that God answers prayers, and a few months before we even considered adding baby #8 to our family, Angelee was praying and she said "thank you for this food, and thank you for dieing on the cross, please let us have a little sister" !?!?!?!
Thinking back, that was probably one of the early seeds that turned into the idea of having another baby.
So she doesn't even out our family, and she is going to be a little sister among a bunch of teenage sisters separated by a gang of rowdy boys.
But she was very punctual. She was born on her due date. She was born in the PM, which maintained the 8 child pattern of AM, PM, AM, PM... She was born on a Tuesday just like her brothers (my favorite day of the week). She missed the 32 minute after the hour requirement by 15 minutes exactly, but that was more my inability to wait any longer.
We know that God picked her out just for us, (hopefully to teach my boys some gentleness.)
Doug and I feel super blessed, and are very excited to be on this journey of raising our 8 beautiful kids together.
